If you’ve purchased a brand-new game, chances are you might have some DLC to redeem on your Xbox Series X. In order to access the DLC, you’ll need to enter a long code of letters and numbers into your Xbox. But where do you do this? Fear not, as this guide’s going to run you through the steps you need to take to redeem codes on the Xbox Series X.
Redeeming Codes on Xbox Series X
Fortunately, for those of you who have had an Xbox One, the process is the same. All you need to do is go to the ‘Store’ app and then press left on the d-pad to access the side bar.
From here, scroll down until you hit the ‘Redeem’ option. Press A to select this and then enter your code as it is shown in the box on-screen.
Press the Menu button to confirm you’ve entered the code, and wait for the Store to load for a moment.
You’ll then get confirmation of whatever the item is that you’re trying to redeem. Select the confirm option, and the content tied to the code you redeemed will then be permanently available on your Xbox Live account to download.
Keep in mind that to download whatever content your code entitles you to, you’ll need to have some free space on your Xbox Series X’s internal SSD, or the storage expansion upgrade card that fits into the back of your console. If you don’t have enough space, then your content will still be available in your My Games & Apps section for you to download when you do have the available, required space.
That’s everything you need to know on redeeming codes on Xbox Series X. Be sure to keep it locked to Twinfinite for everything else on Microsoft’s shiny new system.
