The news will be shared during a livestream that will be broadcasted both in English and Japanese during Tokyo Game Show 2020 online on September 25 at 5:00 am PDT.

The livestream promises the “latest updates and information” about the game including new gameplay footage of the game. The show will be hosted by comedian Nasunakanishi.

You can find it embedded below if you wanna watch it when it starts.

Sega‘s lineup for the show also includes PuyoPuyo Tetris 2, Sakura Revolution: Blooming Maidens, and more, with Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster representing Atlus.

Sega announced Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis a few months ago. It will basically be a new game operated in parallel with the original Phantasy Star Online 2.

It’ll come for the same platforms as Phantasy Star Online 2 which in the west is (for now) Xbox and PC, while in Japan is PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The original game will, in turn, receive a visual upgrade to bring it in line with New Genesis’ graphics. Players will be able to use the same accounts and characters to play both games.

In the meanwhile, Sega also announced that the west will get PSO’s Episode 5 at the end of this month.
