After years of silence by the western branch of Atlus, an imminent release in English of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim by Vanillaware seems more and more likely.
Today the English version of the game has been rated in Australia, receiving an “M” classification with “moderate impact” for themes and violence.
It’s worth mentioning that while the classification indicates “Multiplatform” that’s to be taken with a big grain of salt, as the Australian Classification board often gets that wrong. For instance, God of War for PS4 is also marked as multiplatform. For now, all we know is that the game was launched only for PS4 in Japan.
The “year of production,” which normally indicates the release year, is marked as “2020.”
We do know that a reveal for the game will debut at IGN Summer of Gaming on June 12. The classification in Australia not only pretty much confirms that it’s about a western launch, but also hints to the possibility of a release in the near-term.
It would be about time, considering that Atlus USA has been silent about 13 Sentinels: Aegis rim since the release of the teaser trailer at E3 2017.
If you want to see more of the game, you can check out the latest trailer, another story trailer, the previous video, some spiffy gameplay, another trailer, an extensive batch of screenshots that showcased new characters, the previous gallery of screenshots, more images and artwork, another gameplay reveal, and an earlier trailer.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is available in Japan exclusively for PS4. At the moment we don’t know whether new platforms will be added for the potential western release or not. We’ll have to wait and see.
