How to Evolve Noibat into Noivern in Pokemon Sword and Shield

To cut right to the chase, you can evolve Noibat into Noivern in Pokemon Sword and Shield by leveling Noibat up to level 48.

This is far from an easy feat, though it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has ever tried to raise Dragon-type Pokémon. From the first generation on, Dragon types have always required a hefty time sink to obtain all of their evolutions, with their final forms most always locked behind a high level.

As such, you’ll need to do a decent amount of grinding to get the Flying and Dragon-type Noibat to the necessary level. Fortunately, there are a couple of workarounds you can use to speed up the process.

How to Level up Noibat Fast

One method for leveling Noibat up fast in Pokemon Sword and Shield is to use EXP Candies on it.

Offering a small bump of experience for each one you use, EXP Candies are a great way to level up your Pokémon fast and without risk. They range in size from XS to XL, and can be readily obtained by defeating Dynamax Pokemon in the Wild.

However, it should be noted that for the larger candies, you’ll need to defeat stronger Dynamaxed Pokémon.

The other method you can use is to give your Noibat the Lucky Egg item to hold. Doing so will increase the EXP it earns from battle, and allow you to continue progressing through the game at a semi-normal pace.

You can find the Lucky Egg by completing some deliveries for the chef in Hulbury’s Seafood restaurant, after which he’ll reward you with the item.
