Today Idea Factory International announced with a press release that Mary Skelter 2 finally has a western release date.
The game will launch in North America and Europe exclusively for Nintendo Switch respectively on October 22 and October 23. It will include the original game, Mary Skelter: Nightmares.
The Switch exclusivity is peculiar considering that it’s skipping the PS4 version, which was actually the first released in Japan. While an official explanation was not provided, it’s likely that the good folks at Idea Factory International opted for saving themselves having to censor the game to release it on Sony’s console.
You can check out a few screenshots below, alongside an official description, in case you’re unfamiliar with Mary Skelter 2.
“Mary Skelter 2 evolves the core elements in Mary Skelter: Nightmares to bring to you a world teeming with twists and turns, topped with a new battle feature where the previous protagonist, Jack, is now a Nightmare. Players can use his Nightmare powers to defeat enemies, but at a maddening cost. Set in an alternate reality that includes familiar characters from the first installment, players must relive the torturous dungeon experiences and find ways to feed an almost insatiable prison. Will you be able to escape this prison and find sanctuary or will you fall into the clutches of madness?”
