Once matchmaking has begun, you’ll then be thrown into the challenge.

What Is Dares of Eternity?

This is an event that allows players to take on wave after wave of enemies. Killing these enemies will fill up a progress bar on the screen and once this is filled, a final boss will spawn.

It’s essentially a 6-player co-operative ‘Offensive’ challenge that’ll largely have you just defeating enemies. It’s a simple but pretty fun challenge all the same.

Destiny 2 Dares of Eternity Rewards

After defeating the final boss in Destiny 2’s Dares of Eternity, players will be awarded a ‘Treasure Key.’ The in-game description for this mentions it can be used to open a chest in Xur’s Treasure Hoard.

Opening the treasure chest can award you with one of Destiny 2’s legendary weapons added as part of the 30th anniversary event. These are essentially weapons from Halo, with a few minor changes to make them fit into the world of Destiny 2. You can get the Battle Rifle-like BxR-55 Battler, and the Beam Rifle-inspired Retraced Path, for example.
