Leveling Up Fast in Biomutant
There are three ways to earn XP in Biomutant:
- Complete Main Quests
- Defeat Enemies
- Complete Side Quests
Complete Main Quests
The majority of your XP will come from completing Biomutant’s main quests. These will all pertain to help taking care of the four roots of the Tree of Life that are being attacked by mysterious oil-based monsters. Completing each of these earns you a good chunk of XP that’ll likely cause you to level up (or be very close to doing so), so these should always be your first port of call.
Defeat Enemies to Help You Level Up in Biomutant
Next up, you can defeat enemies that can be found roaming the world of Biomutant. These can range from a small group of easy enemies to the more demanding monsters that you’ll need to take down as part of Moog’s Munster Honter questline. You won’t get a ton of XP for defeating the minor enemies, but every little bit adds up, and Biomutant’s combat is enjoyable enough that taking the time out to take care of a few bad beasts is a rather enjoyable excursion anyway.
Complete Side Quests
Finally, you’ll want to make sure you’re checking the Side Quests section of your journal in Biomutant regularly. There are a ton of different side missions to find and complete, ranging from finding different satellite dishes around the world for special armor, to Moog’s aforementioned Munster Honter questline (guess what that takes inspiration from?) where you’ll be tackling some of the toughest beasts in the land.
Biomutant’s side quests can be found by simply exploring the world and talking to all the various NPCs you come across. Be sure to check your Journal regularly to ensure you’re ticking these off as you go, as you’ll earn a nice bit of XP to help you level up upon completion of each one of them.
