Yesterday, Epic Games announced that the Fortnite Reboot a Friend promotion was returning in 2021 and would run from April 6 – April 26. During this time, players can select three friends from their friend’s list over at the ‘Reboot a Friend’ website who haven’t played Fortnite in 30 or more days. Doing so will earn you special rewards the more you play, but that’s got some players wondering how to get Reboot a Friend Rewards in Fortnite.
Earning Reboot a Friend Rewards
As outlined in the FAQ, players can earn four items as part of the promotion:
- Reboot Spray
- Heartbeat Wrap
- Toxic Flash Glider
- Plasma Carrot Pickaxe (2 variants)
Playing games with any of your Fortnite ‘Reboot a Friend’ friends (regardless of who invites who) will earn you both 10 points. Your first Reboot a Friend game will give you a one-off bonus of 100 points each.
Epic Games hasn’t yet revealed the exact points requirements to unlock these items.
How to Get Fortnite Reboot a Friend Rewards
Once you’ve earned enough points to earn a prize, it’ll be awarded to your account within 7 days of unlocking them through earning the required amount of points for each item.
A screen will appear when you login (or after a game), showing you the items that your account has been awarded. All of these can then be found under the ‘Locker’ screen.
Are the Rewards Exclusive Items?
While they’ve never been released prior to this event, Epic has stated that the items could be made available for purchase at a later date.
