As fantastic as Loop Hero is, the weird and sometime poor wording of some of its items and traits are easily the game’s worst shortcoming. It can take some experimenting to figure out what something does, such as the “energy armor” that’s referenced in one of the game’s traits. Here’s what you need to know about energy armor in Loop Hero.
Loop Hero Energy Armor Explained
To make things simple for you, energy armor is effectively the same thing as Magic HP.
If you’ve been playing with the Necromancer class, or playing with Rogue with the Arsenal Golden Card active, you’ll likely have come across the Amulet equipment item.
Amulet
The Amulet’s primary stat is Magic HP, which acts as a barrier of sorts to protect you from incoming damage.
The best part about Magic HP is that it restores fully between battles, and is unaffected by any max HP decreases, such as the Desert card, which decreases the max HP of all creatures by 1%.
This means that even if you’re stacking Desert cards everywhere on the map, if you have high enough Magic HP, you’ll still have plenty of protection from getting one-shot by enemies.
The term “energy armor” is referenced in one of the traits you can get as a Necromancer, where every skeleton summoned will add 0.5 to your energy armor total.
This is a really good trait to have on the Necromancer, especially if your Attack Speed and max skeletons count is high enough for you to keep summoning skeletons. This will increase your Magic HP very quickly, and make you very powerful against even the tougher enemies.
That’s all you need to know about what energy armor does in Loop Hero. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
