2021’s Pokemon GO Valentine’s Day event has arrived and brings with it another of the Collection Challenges. The trickiest of the Pokemon you’ll need to catch to complete this challenge is Alomomola. This can only be obtained in very specific ways during the challenge, but you’ll need it to get all the rewards from the challenge. Here’s how to catch Alomomola in Pokemon GO for the Valentine’s Day Collection Challenge.
How to Catch Alomomola
You can’t just catch Alomomola in the wild in Pokemon GO, so instead you need to catch one either via Field Research or via a Raid.
To catch an Alomomola the Field Research route, you’ll need to complete either of the following objectives:
- Catch 20 Luvdiscs
- Win 2 Raids
These will appear in your Field Research menu when you spin a Poke Stop, so make sure you’re checking these frequently. Once either of these objectives appears with a Pokemon encounter as the reward, complete it and you’ll be awarded an Alomomola.
Alternatively, you can get an Alomomola in Pokemon GO’s 3-Star Raids during the Valentine’s Day event. The event runs until Feb. 18, so make sure you catch one before it’s too late. You can either find a Raid near you or have your friend invite you to one they’re already a part of.
Of course, you’ll then have to beat Alomomola in the Raid in order to catch it and complete the Pokemon GO Valentine’s Day Collection Challenge. You’ll want to use your best grass and electric-type Pokemon, and ideally have some players working alongside you in a three-star Raid to make it easier to succeed.
