While you can throw all manner of items, such as metal pipes, bricks, or bottles, you’ll usually get access to three coins (unless you change the default option) from the start of each level, to use as you like.

The best way to use them is to attract enemies to sound and move them away from somewhere you want to go or someone you’re trying to assassinate.

How to Throw Coins in Hitman 3

The first thing you need to do is select the coins from your inventory. To do that, use the left or right d-pad button to cycle through the items you’re got on you, and press A if you’re on Xbox (X on PlayStation) to equip it. You’ll see the outline of the coin in the bottom right corner of the screen fill in white when Agent 47 has the item in his hands.

Then, you can aim the coin where you want to throw it by looking and holding the left trigger button. You’ll see the path the coin takes and where it will land on the ground.

Next, you can press the right trigger to throw it. You’l hear the noise when it hits the ground, and any NPCs nearby who hear it will suddenly have a question mark above their head. Usually, one person will then move to check it out.
