cyberpunk 2077 january update patch 1.07

Cyberpunk 2077 January Patch 1.07: Release Date, Patch Notes, Download Size & More

It’s no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 had more than its fair share of issues when it launched on Dec. 10, 2020. Across all platforms, the game had a plethora of bugs that tarnished the immersive experience to be had in Night City, but the problems were much, much worse on base PS4 and Xbox One consoles. While CD Projekt Red has already released a few patches to alleviate some of the most annoying or blatant bugs and issues, it’s Cyberpunk 2077’s January update or Patch 1.07 that’s got a number of players excited.

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.07 Release Date

Currently, all we know is that Patch 1.07 is due to release at some point in January. CD Projekt Red hasn’t shared any further details regarding when players can expect the update to go live right now, but as soon as any information is shared, we’ll update this post and let you know.

That being said, CD Projekt Red publicly dismissed a rumor going around the internet yesterday, stating that January and February updates set to be the largest for the game to-date, had been delayed, among other things.

Given the Cyberpunk Twitter account’s statement, we’ve no reason to believe that January’s Patch 1.07 will be delayed out of the month.

Cyberpunk 2077 January Update Patch Notes

CD Projekt Red has yet to officially announce the specifics of the January update’s patch notes, but we do know from the statement it tweeted on Dec. 14 that it is set to be the first of two ‘large patches’ coming to the game.

According to the same statement “these should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles. We will be informing you about the contents of each patch ahead of their release.”

As such, it sounds like those playing on base PS4 and Xbox One console should be seeing the most notable improvements with the release of Cyberpunk 2077’s January update, though there should be more minor improvements across the board for PC and next-gen console owners.

CD Projekt Red does, however, warn that you should temper your expectations if you were hoping this would transform the game’s shaky performance into something we’d seen in gameplay trailers running on high-end PCs.

“They won’t make the game on last-gen look like it’s running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now”, the statement reads.

Patch 1.07 Download & Install Size

Given that both the January and February updates are supposed to be significantly larger than those that have come before it, we’d expect these to come in somewhere above 15-20 GB across all platforms.

Of course, the size could be larger or smaller than this, and vary between platforms, but for now it’s a guessing game. We’ll update this post once we have further information to share with you.
