Getting the Northern Regalia in Demon’s Souls

The Northern Regalia is one of the most powerful large swords you can get in Demon’s Souls, but it can only be acquired in NG+1, after you’ve beaten the game at least once. To get the sword, you’ll first need to acquire both the Demonbrandt and Soulbrandt, which we’ve detailed in our guide here.

In addition to getting both swords, you’ll also need to get the False King Demon Soul, which is obtained from killing Allant at the end of the game, right before the credits roll.

Once you’ve beaten the game, simply start new game plus after the credit rolls and play through the game until you get access to the archstones.

Head for Stonefang Valley and speak with Blacksmith Ed, then hand over the False King Demon Soul, along with the Soulbrandt and Demonbrandt. He’ll then craft the Northern Regalia for you and you’ll be able to use it in combat.

Unlike most other weapons in Demon’s Souls, the Northern Regalia’s attack rating (AR) doesn’t scale with any specific stat. Instead, it gets more powerful based on your character tendency.

If you’re at either pure black or pure white character tendency, the Northern Regalia can go up to 540 AR, making it one of the strongest weapons in the game.

You can achieve pure black character tendency by killing NPCs and successfully invading other players, and pure white is achieved by helping NPCs and through successful co-op sessions.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Northern Regalia in Demon’s Souls. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
