The Demon’s Souls remake is definitely one of the PlayStation 5’s top launch titles, offering owners of the console and Souls fans alike something to dig their teeth into for hours on end. Those that couldn’t afford a new console, meanwhile, have been left to watch all this fun transpire from the sidelines, and if you’re one such person, you’re probably wondering: Is Demon’s Souls coming to Xbox One or any other platform?
Well, for better or worse, we have an answer for you.
Is Demon’s Souls Coming to the Xbox One?
As it currently stands, no, Demon’s Souls is not going to release on the Xbox One.
The exact reason for this is unclear, but it likely comes down to one of or both of two factors. The first is that Demon’s Souls has always been a Sony exclusive property. The original was only released on PlayStation 3 and remained exclusive throughout the duration of its lifetime. Given this fact, it’s little surprise that the remake would follow suit, even if the Souls games have become more popular in recent years.
The other factor is that the Demon Souls remake is a next-gen title through and through. Boasting top of the line graphics, haptic feedback support, and other such features, it was designed for the PlayStation first and foremost, with little or no consideration for how it might be played on other platforms.
Will the Game Ever Come to Xbox One?
As for whether the game might come to Xbox One in the future, the chances are slim to none.
As mentioned before, Demon’s Souls is a Sony property, and given how lucrative Souls games are, they aren’t likely to share that wealth by making it multiplatform anytime soon.
Crazier things have happened though, and if a port is announced, we’ll update our guide accordingly.
