How to Sprint and Run Faster in Genshin Impact

Like with other modern titles, sprinting and running faster in Genshin Impact is pulled off with a fairly simple button press.

All you need to do is hold down the R1 button. Doing so will cause your character to start running faster at the expense of your stamina. They will continue to do so until you release the button, or until you’ve used up all your stamina; and, if it’s the latter scenario, then you won’t be able to sprint again until your stamina regenerates.

When You Should Sprint and Run Faster

As for when the best times are to sprint in Genshin Impact, it depends on what situation you’re in.

If you’re exploring cities, safe stretches of the wilderness or other areas where you won’t need to escape enemies in a hurry, then you can sprint however much or little as you see fit. Doing so will help you get where you need to go as fast as possible, and can cut down how much time you spend seeing areas you’ve already explored to death.

On the other hand, if you’re in areas that present you with the chance for unwanted combat or threats to your survival, then it’s best to be selective about when and where you run faster. Choosing to sprint in one place, or choosing to do so for too long, could leave you trying to recover stamina when you’d otherwise want to escape to safety.

This in turn could lead you to an untimely demise, and cost you more time than you’d otherwise lose by being patient.

To that end, observe the situations you’re in and try to react accordingly. Before long, you should have a feel for when the best times to speed through areas throughout the game are.
