Today is a day to celebrate for western Phantasy Star Online 2 fans, as Sega’s MMORPG got a bunch of new releases.

First of all, the game was launched on Steam, giving players another way to play it on PC.

On top of that, we also get a launch in Europe both for Xbox One and Windows 10 as Xbox Play Anywhere title.

Last, but certainly not least, we get the release of Episode 4, which is the first major content update coming in the west.

It was released in Japan all the way back in 2016, but at least we’re getting a bit closer.

That being said, Sega plans to close the gap quickly. Episode 5 will come before the end of the third quarter of 2020 (which means likely in September), and Episode 6 will follow in Q4.

You can check out the iconic trailer for Episode 4 below.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is available in the west for Xbox One and PC. Earlier today we heard that the western version enjoyed a “strong start.”

In the meanwhile, Sega recently announced Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, which will basically be a new game operated in parallel with the original Phantasy Star Online 2.

The original game will, in turn, receive a visual upgrade to bring it in line with New Genesis’ graphics. Players will be able to use the same accounts and characters to play both games.
