While there’s a lot of exploring to do in the back garden of Grounded, you’ll also want to spend some time making your base really feel like home. This base-building element can really come into its own when you can start making Multi-Story Bases, and in this guide, we’ll run you through how to make floors in Grounded to do exactly that.
Making Floors in Grounded
It’s worth pointing out that you can’t just analyze an item or material to unlock flooring in Grounded. Instead, you’ll need to progress through the game until you reach the quest that has you venturing over to an Oak Tree.
Once you reach here, you’ll want to head inside and to the room towards the back. Keep an eye out for a robot called BURG.L.
Right next to him, you’ll find a Grasslands BURG.L Chip on the floor. Pick this up and then interact with the robot.
When prompted, select the “I found a BURG.L chip” option. The robot will take the chip out of your head and slot it into its head. Now choose the “I’ll trade you some Raw Science” option.
You’ll now need 1,000 Raw Science to buy the “Multi-Story Bases” option. Buying this unlocks the ability to make floors in Grounded.
Crafting Floors in Grounded
Now that we’ve unlocked the ability to make floors, it’s time to actually get to work on making your base really feel like home.
You’ll need four Grass Planks which are obtained by chopping down grass stalks with an axe to make one flooring panel. You’re going to need a lot of flooring panels to make a big, multi-story base in the game.
That’s all you need to know on making floors in Grounded to really make your base in the grass feel like home. For more on Grounded, check out our coverage below.
