With a world that is as large as Satisfactory‘s, you’ll need to get your hands on some navigational tools if you want to get anywhere in the game. Thankfully, the game features a map of the world that players can use to pinpoint exactly what they need to progress. Here is everything you need to know about how to get a map in Satisfactory.

How to Get Map in Satisfactory

Like nearly everything in the game, you’ll need to complete the necessary research to unlock this item in Satisfactory. To be exact, you’ll need to follow the Quartz research chain in the M.A.M. to get the map.

Quarts is pretty straightforward to find, as its pink crystals stick out amongst the landscape. Once you find at least 10 of the items, follow the chain detailed below.

After researching Frequency Mapping, you’ll unlock the map.

Once you have it, all you need to do to access your new item is press Z or the Right Stick. You can zoom in and out from 0.5x to 8x with the slider or mouse wheel.

A filter menu is also unlocked alongside this new items, allowing you to highlight and find specific items of interest.

When placing engineer or Radar Towers for mapping purposes, be sure to have them above the terrain in order to reveal it. It is also important to note that players share a map in multiplayer. With all that in mind, all that is left to do now is explore.
