Apex Legends Season 5 is going live on May 12, which is right around the corner. We all know that a new Battle Pass is coming, but Respawn is adding much more than that this time around. Here’s what’s new in Apex Legends Season 5, Fortune’s Favor.

A New Legend (Loba)

Apex Legends Season 5 Loba

Loba is a master thief who seems to be prepared for almost any situation. We’ll have to wait until May 12 to use her in matches, but we can get glimpses of what she can do by looking at the Apex Legends Season 5 gameplay reveal and her character trailer.

Loba’s Tactical ability, Burglar’s Best Friend, allows her to throw a Jump Drive bracelet, then teleport to it. Her Passive Ability, Eye For Quality, lets her see epic and legendary loot through walls, so she’ll know exactly where to go first during a drop.

Her Ultimate is called Black Market Boutique, and it shows you all of the loot in the area, allowing teammates to take up to two items from Loba’s device. It’s a bit of a double-edged sword though, because enemies can take loot from it as well.

Her teleport bracelet could potentially be just as tricky to deal with as Wraith’s phasing ability, especially in tense situations. Loba’s Ultimate might even be a safer alternative to Lifeline’s enemy beacon care package.

Part of Loba’s backstory was already given to us in the Revenant-focused Season 4 launch trailer. The ruthless robot is the one who killed her parents, and she’s joined the Apex Games in Season 5 for revenge.
