From here, find an empty area – that says build – and choose what you’d like to create. You’ll have plenty of options, from research labs to access lifts, each detailing their importance, as well as how many resources you’ll need to devote to making them.

Hit create and it will let you know how long it takes until the new section is going to be finished.

Keep in mind, you only have a set amount of room to create areas and that each new space costs time and resources to complete.
