Outer Worlds: Is There Photo Mode? Answered

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The Outer Worlds is the latest title from the developers over at Obsidian Entertainment. Tasking players with uncovering a plot to eradicate the Halcyon Colony once and for all, players must journey to planets across the galaxy, meeting factions, and blasting bad guys in the face. It’s all really quite great. Of course, if you were hoping to snap some memorable shots of your adventure, you may be wondering if there is a photo mode in Outer Worlds.

Outer Worlds Photo Mode – What You Need to Know

Right now, there is no photo mode in Outer Worlds. For whatever reason, Obsidian has opted not to include the mode that allows players to snap shots of their favorite moments of their adventure and then fine-tune them with a variety of editing options such as contrast, saturation, camera angles and so on.

Instead, if you want to take any photos and screenshots, you’ll just have to use your platform’s screenshot capabilities. This will mean you’ll have all of your HUD included in any shots you take, which can take away from the marvelous landscapes you’re trying to snap. If you want to do any editing, you’ll also have to do it on a PC or other device that you can import the image to.

Will Photo Mode Come to Outer Worlds?

Right now, Obsidian Entertainment hasn’t revealed whether or not a photo mode will come to the game as part of a post-launch update or not.

That being said, it’s certainly not unheard of for the mode to be added to popular titles after the fact. Games like Days Gone and Control this year alone have both received the mode as part of a post-launch update. For now, though, it’s a case of crossing those fingers and hoping Obsidian follows suit.

That’s everything you need to know regarding an Outer Worlds photo mode. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our ever-expanding guide wiki, search for Twinfinite, or check out more of our guides below.
