How to Take Out Sidesteppers in Mario Kart Tour

Sidesteppers move from side to side and look like little red crabs with yellow claws. They’re typically found in and around water on a couple of courses in Mario Kart Tour.

The two courses where you’ll be able to find these tiny crabs are Cheep Cheep Lagoon and Koopa Troopa Beach. Both courses have plenty of Sidesteppers for you to take out.

Make sure that you have items to take out these Sidesteppers because you’ll need them. Hit them with shells, bob-ombs, or anything else that can take out your opponents.

If you’re not getting the items that you need, then select Koopa Troopa as your racer for a chance of getting frenzy mode. Frenzy mode will give you a superstar and an unlimited amount of one item for a short time.

If you want to learn more about frenzy mode in Mario Kart Tour, then you can check out our guide. If you don’t have Koopa Troopa yet, then at least try to pick a character who can get two items at once.

Using a racer who has more chances to get an item you need will surely help you get through this sidestepper challenge faster than a character who only can pick up one item at a time.

Also, if you’re passing by those Sidesteppers too quickly, then pick 50cc as your race speed. There’s no shame in dropping down to the lowest speed and lining up your shots if you’re just trying to clear out challenges.

In short, here’s how to take out sidesteppers in Mario Mart Tour.

  1. Begin a race Cheep Cheep Lagoon or Koopa Troopa Beach.

  2. Use Koopa Troopa if you have him unlocked, to give you a better chance of getting items, and play on 50CC to make it easier.

  3. Take out the sidesteppers with any item you’d use to take out opponents, such as shells.

That’s all there is to know about how to take out Sidesteppers in Mario Kart Tour. If you’re interested in learning about how to get better at this game, then check out our guide on how to drift.
