Bloober Team’s Blair Witch has finally released on Xbox One and PC, allowing players to step into the shoes of ex-cop Ellis as he enters the Black Hills Forest to help search for a missing child. How Long Blair Witch Game Takes to Finish
In our playthrough, it took us about eight hours to complete Blair Witch, but the game can definitely be finished faster if players ignore any of the collectibles and don’t explore the forest and simply sprint their way through the unsettling woods.
Choosing this style of playthrough would bring players closer to the six to seven-hour mark. Regardless, if you’re sitting down for an evening session of playing games, chances are you can complete Blair Witch in a single sitting. Plus, you’d get added atmospheric and spookiness by playing the game late at night.
Blair Witch’s total runtime is split over about 18 chapters. We can’t give you a definite number as the game doesn’t make it exactly clear, but each one varies in length and they don’t really serve much of a purpose other than saving checkpoints.
What Happens in Blair Witch?
We’re not going to give you a full spoiler-filled story breakdown here, but Ellis, an ex-cop decides to go and help out the police force in a search through Black Hills Forest for a missing boy.
Of course, as he ventures deeper into the forest, more and more mysterious things happen, with the forest changing shape around him and monsters lurking behind trees.
You’ll have to fend them off with your flashlight and solve puzzles if you’re to uncover the mysteries of the forest.
