Astral Chain is divided into a number of files that essentially work as different chapters of the game’s story. There are 11 in the main game, but there’s also a final File 12 to unlock. With that, here’s how to unlock File 12 (Epilogue) in Astral Chain.
How to Unlock File 12 (Epilogue) in Astral Chain
Each File in Astral Chain is separated out into a number of parts, and you’ll start each one out in the Neuron HQ or Secret Base. While the story covers 11 Files, there is a final one called File 12 that brings some unique challenges.
In order to unlock File 12 the first thing you’ll need to do is simply play through and beat the game, then watch the credits roll. Once you’ve done that you’ll have the chance to save your data again over your file.
Now all you need to do is go to the main menu and reload the file. You’ll be treated to a quick bit of epilogue story, and then be dropped back into Neuron HQ.
There isn’t a ton of story in File 12, but now your main goal is to undertake missions given by Olive, to clean up corruption around the Ark.
Each of these missions are unique combat challenges that have you going up against waves of enemies, and even some brand new enemy types in some cases.
One of the major things to keep in mind here, is that each of these missions provided you with a pre-selected limited set of items, so you won’t be able to take in whatever you want to.
It’s a fun post-game challenge for players that truly have down the intricacies of Astral Chain’s combat.
While we know there’s an order you can complete for finishing all of Olive’s missions in File 12, we don’t yet know if there’s another ending or more story context, as we haven’t finished them all ourselves.
