Youngblood is the first time developer Machine Games has deviated from the single-player, story-driven focus typical of its modern Wolfenstein games. Although there’s still a cohesive story to follow, it’s been designed principally as a co-operative experience, and its levels are more of a semi-open world design than the linear affair we’re used to. If you’re wanting to know how that impacts the install size for Youngblood, here’s what you need to know.
What the Install Size Is for Wolfenstein Youngblood
As we’ve explained in our article about the game’s length, it could take you in excess of 25 hours to see and do everything Youngblood has to offer. Seven main quests and 30 or so side quests mean there’s plenty of content to sink your teeth into –though most of the action takes place in the same areas time and time again.
Interestingly, the install size of this $30 spin-off isn’t all that different to the last mainline entry in the series, New Colossus. On PS4, the install size is 39.97 GB, which is only 6 less than New Colossus.
Perhaps that’s explained by the game’s more expansive level design, which allows players more freedom in traversal and opportunities to explore? New Order certainly had more in the way of different levels, cinematics, and set pieces, but it was also a mostly linear experience.
That covers everything you need to know about what the install size is for Youngblood. Hopefully, you have enough room on your HDD!
