How to Get All Gems in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

Understanding Tokens

To understand how to get all gems, you’ll first need to appreciate what CTR Tokens are and how they work.

Token races are unlocked after beating the area boss, which you’ll only have the opportunity to do once you have gotten first-place in each of the area’s four races.

Similar to how you achieve trophies (by finishing first), tokens are obtained by finishing in 1st place in a token race. But the big difference is that you’ll need to collect the letters C, T, and R as you work your way around the track.

Of course, to make things a little tougher, the letters are often hidden away or in hard to get to places or in places unfavorable for winning the race (or a combination of all three).

There are a total of 20 Tokens to collect (four Red, four Green, four Blue, four Yellow, four Purple).

Getting Gems

So what do tokens have to do with anything? Well, you’ll only be able to obtain gems by competing in Gem Cups, which are unlocked after winning four CTR Tokens of the same color.

Before any of that, though, you must beat the story of the game in Adventure Mode to open up the big gate in the Gem Stone Valley hub-world. Behind that gate is the entrance to five Gem Cups.

Each is a series of multiple races, which will award you points depending on your position. Winning a Gem Cup race earns you a Gem, and therefore, earning all gems is a case of winning all five races.

That should be everything you need to know about how to get all gems in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. For more useful information on the game, be sure to check out our dedicated wiki page.
