How to Get the Jagged Sparkscale in Dauntless

How to Get It

The Jagged Sparkscale can only be obtained from killing the Drask in Dauntless.

The good news is that the Sparkscale is a fairly common drop, which means that you shouldn’t have to spend too much time farming it. Located in the Yonder Keys area, the Drask uses Shock-based attacks, but is weak to the Terra element, so use that to your advantage whenever possible.

To get the Jagged Sparkscale to drop, all you have to do is break the Drask’s legs for a chance of getting it. This can be done pretty easily with weapons that do wound damage, as indicated by the red damage numbers that pop up whenever you hit the Behemoth. By breaking all of its legs during the hunt, you’ll maximize your chances of getting the item to drop.

What It’s For

The Jagged Sparkscale is one of the reagent items in Dauntless, which means that it’s mainly used for crafting new weapons and armor back in town.

The Sparkscale, in particular, is used for crafting Drask armor once you have all the required materials. Bring it to the Aethersmith in town, along with whatever other monster parts or Orbs that are required for the crafting process, and you’ll be able to create a new set of equipment for yourself.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Jagged Sparkscales and what they’re for in Dauntless. Be sure to check our Dauntless guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
