How to Solve Ramsgate Instance Failure Issues in Dauntless

As the game has just left its extensive beta testing period and is now officially launched, there are tons of new players getting into the game for the first time. As a result, there are times where the servers may struggle with overcapacity, and you might not be able to get into the game.

This will occur at the game’s startup screen when you try to log in, and the game will let you know that it’s searching for a Ramsgate instance, and that matchmaking has failed. Usually, this doesn’t have anything to do with your own internet connection (though you might want to check that just in case), and it’s a case of the servers being at full capacity at the moment.

The developers are aware of this issue and have stated on Twitter that they’re actively working on it to try to accommodate as many players as they can.

What Can You Do?

Aside from making sure that your busted internet connection isn’t the issue here, unfortunately, there’s not much else you can do to get yourself into a Ramsgate instance if the servers are full.

The best thing you can do here is to just wait a few hours for the Dauntless servers to clear up a little, then try logging in again. In the meantime, since the developers have already mentioned that they’re working on fixing this issue, you shouldn’t have too long to wait before the game becomes accessible again.
