Nintendo just took social media by Storm by announcing Nintendo Cardbo… ahem… Nintendo Labo VR Kit for the Switch.

The product will be available as a bundle with the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit, or with a starter set with Toy-Con VR Googles and a Toy Con Blaster, that can be expanded with two expansions. The first includes a Toy-Con Camera and a Toy-Con Elephant, and the second comes with a Toy-Con Bird and a Toy-Con Wind Pedal.

Of course, the bundle will come with all the all the Toy-Cons mentioned above.

Here’s an official description directly from Nintendo’s site:

“With the new Nintendo Labo VR Kit, there’s more to Make, Play, and Discover together than ever before. Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit is a unique first VR experience kids and families can build themselves!

The Starter Set + Blaster kit provides an action-packed introduction to the experience. You can then add to the fun with the Expansion Sets. Or, if you want an even broader experience right away, you can purchase the full Nintendo Labo VR Kit, which features six VR Toy-Con projects in one package.”

Of course, this isn’t exactly an advanced VR headset, but Nintendo’s own take and expansion on the Google Cardboard idea, which is pretty much a natural evolution considering that the Switch isn’t too different from a mobile phone in form factor.

You can check out the available kits in the gallery below.

Nintendo announced the first implementation on Labo in January 2018, following up with the Vehicle kit in the summer. The related products didn’t exactly conquer the world, but we’ll have to wait and see if the third time is a charm.
