As usual, the game was presented on stage by Marketing Manager Yasuhiro Kitao, who you may remember from when he covered the same role on Bloodborne for Sony Interactive Entertainment before moving on to FromSoftware.

That being said, he wasn’t the one playing. A veteran Taiwanese player took over the controls for the presentation.

The gameplay showcased a demo level including plenty of brutal skirmishes with challenging rank-and-file enemies and officers, all the way to a difficult boss battle.

Among other things, we get to see twice Sekiro’s signature resurrection that allows him to come back from a fatal wound to surprise the enemy. Yet, that can be done only once per meditation (which is Sekiro’s equivalent of the Souls series’ bonfires).

You can watch it below. If you want to learn more about Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, you can learn some new information that surfaced a few weeks agowatch some recent gameplay, and a trailer showcasing FromSoftware’s history with Sekiro front and center.

The game is releasing for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 22, 2019.
