Just Cause 4: Is There Multiplayer? What You Need to Know

Is There Multiplayer in Just Cause 4? What You Need to Know

If you’re a wily veteran of the Just Cause series (easily distinguished by your grizzled appearance and vast quantities of ammunition), you may have spent significant time enjoying the multiplayer mods found in Just Cause 2 and 3.

These mods were wildly popular and incredibly successful, and even endorsed by Avalanche and Square Enix themselves, so hopes are high that multiplayer might be making the jump in an official capacity in Just Cause 4. Here’s what you need to know about multiplayer functionality in Just Cause 4.

Unfortunately, however, this is not the case. It has been confirmed that there is not only no multiplayer mode in Just Cause 4 at present, but there are no plans to implement it in the future.

Our only hope is to look again to the modding community, but failing that, make sure that we are vociferous in our desire to see it added down the track by the developers themselves. Remember that there is strength in numbers, and the more passionate and numerable an opinion is, the more likely it is to be heard.

That being said, remember to keep all requests directed at developers respectful, because there’s nothing worse than rude, entitled gamers demanding features as if they are owed to them. That’s how the Smash Bros community ruined Waluigi, and we don’t need to see it happen with Just Cause 4, as well.

Multiplayer may not be gracing our screens at present, but there’s still loads to see and do in the exotic land of Solis. To help you avoid ending up in a body bag, we’ve compiled all of the best tips, tricks and guides in our Just Cause 4 guide wiki.

Whether you’re hunting for the basics or desperate for more complex solutions, you’ll find the answers you seek. It’s time to put a stop to the oppressive regime, and bring power back to the people. Viva!!
