Atlus Preparing Unannounced Games; Teases Shin Megami Tensei V Reveal for 2019

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Critically acclaimed Japanese developer Atlus had a rather successful period on the tail of Persona 5, but apparently, they have more in store.

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu included a New Wear message from the company, which included the following tease.

“Starting with Catherine: Full Body in February 2010, we’re also steadily preparing unannounced titles [or “title.” The Japanese language doesn’t distinguish between singular and plural]. Please expect a follow-up about Shin Megami Tensei V!”

While a new reveal for Shin Megami Tensei V for Nintendo Switch will certainly be welcome, we don’t have specific hints on what else Atlus could have in store.

Since this is a New Year message, major reveals during the upcoming airing of the Persona 5 TV Special “Dark Sun” on December 30th are unlikely, even if not impossible.

A more probable venue for the reveal of new games is the Persona Super Live 2019 concert on April 24th and April 25th. This would also match previous announcement patterns.

Earlier this month, Persona Series Producer Kazuhisa Wada explained that 2019 is going to be important for the series, even if he could have been talking about internal development as opposed to reveals of new games for the upcoming year.

Of course, as soon as any announcement is made, you’ll be able to read about it here on Twinfinite.
