How to Level Up and Upgrade Character in Overkill’s The Walking Dead

Developed by Starbreeze Studios and 505 Games, Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a new co-op, first-person shooter game set in the popular zombie-infested universe. Players will take control of different characters and fight their way through hordes of zombies to survive. As you progress in the game, you’ll need to level up a little to keep up with the difficulty. Here’s what you need to know about how to level up and upgrade your character in Overkill’s The Walking Dead.

Gaining Experience to Level Up

Every character has a separate level attached to them, which means that you need to play as each of them to level them up individually. Each time you attempt or complete a mission, you’ll gain experience at the end of it. Of course, you’ll gain more experience points if you manage to complete the mission successfully. However, even if you end up failing, you’ll still receive a bit of experience for your efforts.

You’ll also get to see your level progress bar at the end of each mission in Overkill’s The Walking Dead, which lets you know how much more experience you need to reach the next level.

Upgrading Your Characters

As you continue to level up and get in more playtime with the characters in Overkill’s The Walking Dead, you’ll be able to enhance their abilities in combat. In order to upgrade your character, click on the Characters tab from the main menu, then select the character you want to level up. On the right side of your screen, click on the Skills option to view their skill trees.

Each character has two skill trees in Overkill’s The Walking Dead: one for their class abilities, and one for core abilities. If you just want to upgrade your character’s health and stamina, you can do that by spending skill points in the core abilities tree.

On the other hand, enhancing their class abilities will make them more useful to the team. For instance, you can upgrade Maya’s primary ability, Medbag, from the character abilities tree. This will help to increase the amount of health Medbag can heal, and how many charges it gets with one activation.

The more you upgrade your characters and level up, the more powerful they’ll become. If you’re struggling with a mission in Overkill’s The Walking Dead, consider repeating previous missions for extra experience points, then spending to skill points to upgrade your characters. Once you’ve toughened them up a little, try the mission again and see if things go more smoothly.

And that’s all you need to know about how to level up and upgrade your characters in Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
