Telltale Games has released a brand new trailer for The Walking Dead: The Final Season, setting the stage for the final journey Clementine will embark on. The trailer begins and ends with a reflecting Clementine, remembering the emotional ending to the first season of The Walking Dead, while commenting on what Lee taught her.
The trailer introduces a host of new characters while showing Clementine and AJ trying to adjust to life at the abandoned school they happen upon. Of course, not everything goes according to plan and those troublesome walkers are there, like always, to ruin everybody’s good time.
By all accounts, it looks like this final season will be just as emotionally-wrecking as ever, as the very last line of the trailer from Clementine states “The first person who taught me about survival was Lee. He taught me how to say goodbye.” Telltale has never held their punches before for twists and tragedies, and considering this is the official last season you can bet there’s quite a bit in store. Take a look at the full trailer down below.
Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season will premiere its first episode on Aug. 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. A demo for the game is currently available on Xbox One, and a new feature released by Telltale known as the Story Builder lets you reconstruct, or build for the first time, Clementine’s story through all three previous games.
