Friends and Fiends Unite in Kirby Star Allies Update

If you’ve been keeping score for a while, you may have seen that Nintendo have been teasing the next batch of Dream Friends that will be hitting the scene in a free update for Kirby Star Allies. At long last, version 3.0 is upon us, allowing us to take control of the new kids on the block.

Kirby will be joined by the conniving Daroach of Kirby: Squeak Squad fame, who combines his deceptive illusory abilities with powerful offensive magic, and even the ability to get his cronies into the fray (he also holds his hat while he runs, which is simultaneously awesome and adorable).

The next customer is Dark Meta Knight, the sinister secondary antagonist from Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, and he does not look like someone you want to mess with. Using his sword and darkness abilities, he’s effectively Meta Knight after a really rough weekend, specializing in wide-ranging attacks that can target multiple enemies at a time.

Last but certainly not least is the duo of Adeleine and Ribbon. The former is best known for her appearance in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, but she actually made her debut much earlier as a boss in Kirby’s Dream Land 3. Combining Adeleine’s painting abilities with Ribbon’s power of flight makes them a formidable pair.

This update to Kirby Star Allies comes to you absolutely free, meaning you can try out these characters from the pink puff’s past at no additional charge. Who knows who may be the next to join his posse?
