Fortnite: When Season 5 Starts

When Season 5 Starts in Fortnite Battle Royale

Recommended Videos

While Fortnite Battle Royale has largely remained the same fundamentally since it released last year, the game is constantly evolving and improving, with new weapons and features dropped almost every week. Most of the major changes that come to Fortnite, however, come at the start of a new season. At the start of Season 4, we saw the comet crash into Dusty Depot, transforming it into Dusty Divot, and a number of other locations and crash sites were added in. As such, there’s a good chance you may be wondering when Season 5 starts, especially when there are many a rumor on what it could be bringing. Oh, and you probably want all the new emotes, skins, and other cosmetics that’ll come to Fortnite in the Season 5 Battle Pass, too.

Just yesterday, Epic Games confirmed via a post over on Twitter than the Season 5 start date will officially begin July 12 at 4:00 A.M. ET / 1:00 A.M. PT. Currently, we don’t know exactly what to expect to come in Fortnite’s Season 5 in terms of major changes, however, there’s a good chance the omega lair and the superhero house on the east side of the map may play into things somehow.

If you’re needing to max out your Battle Pass for Season 4 in the game before Season 5 begins, then you’ll want to jump into the game this weekend, June 29 – July 2. Epic Games is running a +100% match XP weekend to help you rank up a little bit faster. We’re certainly not complaining!
