Are There Microtransactions in Far Cry 5?

Recommended Videos

The next game in the Far Cry series, this time set in Hope County, Montana, has finally arrived and you’re able to customize the look of your character this time around. Hats, shirts, and other items can be bought and worn by your character. However, you may be wondering if there’re microtransactons in Far Cry 5 and whether you can buy any of those items with real-world money microtransactions.

The answer is yes, Far Cry 5 does have microtransactions. The premium currency in the game is Silver Bars and, while they can be found in places such as outposts, they can also be bought if you’re looking to unlock something quickly. They can be used to buy prestige items such as guns, melee weapons, and vehicles, and can be spent at the same places that you’d buy items with in-game currency. The silver bar packs, of which there are five, range from 500 credits (costing $4.99) to 7,250 credits (costing you $49.99), with the most expensive ones including bonus bars. You can buy them in-game or directly from your platform’s store.

That’s all you need to know about the microtransactions in Far Cry 5. For more tips and tricks on the game, check out our wiki guide.
