How to Play Goku in Dragon Ball FighterZ (Super Moves and More)

If you’re new to fighting games or are just starting out with Dragon Ball FighterZ, Goku makes for one of the most approachable characters to choose from. He’s simple to control and most of his super moves are easy to execute from both the ground and the air, making comboing a blast to perform on an opponent (especially if said foe just so happens to wall bounce off the edge of the arena).

Keep in mind that the following set of super moves for Goku all use up one gauge from the super meter, meaning you’ll need to successfully pull of a chain of attacks or Ki Charge before executing any of these commands in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

For starters, Dragon Flash Fist has Goku fly above his opponent only to teleport a split second later and deliver a downward fist strike right behind him or her. It can be performed by pressing 🡣🡦🡢 simultaneously with X, Y, or B, depending on how your controls are configured in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Rapid Kick Rush lifts your opponent into the sky and has Goku assault him or her with a flurry of kicks only to promptly blast the foe with a Kamehameha in midair. Perform this by pressing 🡣🡧🡠 with X, Y, or B in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The standard Kamehameha can be triggered manually should you not want to involve the blast with lighter kicks or punches. To do this move, press 🡣🡦🡢 and the A button all at once. Keep in mind that that pressing 🡡 instead of 🡣 changes where exactly you’re aiming your attack.

Moving on to a heavier tier of super moves, the appropriately named Super Kamehameha charges up a more potent ball of energy to be unleashed upon your enemy in Dragon Ball FighterZ. It can be performed by pressing 🡣🡦🡢 and the right bumper.

The Instant Transmission Kamehameha allows Goku the ability to teleport right beside an enemy before blasting him or her away with another beam of light. Use it by pressing 🡣🡦🡢 and the right trigger.

Last but certainly not least, Meteor Smash has Goku morph to Super Saiyan 3 status to deliver a series of blows that launches the opponent into the air, then knock him or her back down to meet another Kamehameha. Perform it by pressing 🡣🡧🡠 and either the right bumper or the right trigger.

That should cover all the super moves that Goku has in his arsenal in Dragon Ball FighterZ. For more tips on how to use each move effectively in combat, check out a video by way of YouTube channel Maximilian Dude down below.
