August 2017 PS4 Video Game Releases
(Weeks One and Two)
August seems to mark the definitive end to 2017’s summer drought with a long list of games releasing across all platforms, especially the PS4. There are over 25 games waiting for owners of Sony’s most recent console and they cover a wide range of genres from puzzle, to racing, to beautiful action-adventure experiences. The first two weeks are a bit lighter than the rest of the month when it comes to offerings, so we’ve combined them, but there are still some games to check out here.
One standout is the console exclusive Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice from Ninja Theory (Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, DmC: Devil May Cry). It will dive deep into the psychosis of Senua as she fights against mythological monstrosities that live in her nightmares. Mega Man jumps over to PS4 once again with the second Legacy Collection which is sure to please fans of the classic games. There are more titles (including some VR games) to sink your teeth in.
