Pokemon GO: How to Use Lure Modules and What They Do

Pokemon GO gives players a bunch of neat features to help them on their quest to catch ’em all, but some of these aren’t explained too well by the game. Here’s how to use Lure Modules.

Lure Modules are something that can be bought using Pokecoins and very occasionally be acquired from Pokestops. While you may find one in your inventory, you may not know exactly what to do with one now that you’ve got it. That’s where we’re here to help.

First off, you’ll have to head to a Pokestop and tap on it on your screen to enter it. Once here, you should see a little box at the very top of the screen stating that no Pokestop module has been placed into it. Tap here, and then select the Lure Module from your inventory. Once all this is done, you should see pink petals coming off from the Pokestop, showing that the module is now active.

The Lure Module’s effects will last for 30 minutes and basically allows any other Pokemon trainer in the nearby vicinity to benefit from having Pokemon swarm toward the location. Now go out there and catch some Pokemon.
