While everyone loves playing games with their friends, every once in a while you might want to play a game or watch a movie on your Xbox One and not be hassled by game invites. As such, you’ll want to know how to appear offline on your console.

Fortunately, it’s incredibly easy to do so thanks to the latest dashboard update. All you need to do is press the Home button on your controller, scroll up to your avatar at the top of the menu, and highlight your account. Press A to open the drop-down list, and select Appear Offline. That’s all there is to it.

To appear online on Xbox One, simply navigate your way through the exact same menus, and select the Appear Online option. It’s worth noting that even if you appear offline on Xbox One, your console will still download any updates, show your friends list, and remain connected to the internet.

That’s all there is you need to know to show as offline on Xbox One so you can play your games distraction-free. For more handy tips, tricks, and information on Microsoft’s system, be sure to check back with Twinfinite.
