Cover is Contextual
It’s easy to forget that you can take cover in Quantum Break. With all of the bullets whizzing by and the time powers lighting up the levels, you will feel all powerful…until the moment you take a shotgun blast to the chest.
There will be times when you need to take cover in order to catch a breath during combat. In a panic, it’s easy to forget that there isn’t a button to hide behind a rock and hold your head down until all of the noise stops. You simply need to move next to cover and remain still. Aiming will allow you to pop up and take shots, and releasing your aim will put you back into safety.
Do keep in mind that some cover can be destroyed, and moving may remove you from safety. It takes a bit of getting used to, especially with the floaty nature of the controls.
