Hidetaka Suehiro, better known as Swery or Swery65 and the creator of games like Deadly Premonition and D4, wants to know if fans would read his novel. He hasn’t written one yet, but posed the question to his over 33,000 followers on Twitter. You can see the full tweet down below.

As you can see fans responded overwhelmingly positive, besides the ten people that voted no. Swery was happy to see such overwhelming support and in the comments thanked everyone saying, “Got over 3000 answers. Seriously, I will plan to do it.”

Swery has become well known for the unique and bizarre stories that he tells within his games. Deadly Premonition became a bit of a cult classic game when it was released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The title was marked for its surreal characters and setting, inspired by the likes of the television show, Twin Peaks. The last game that Swery worked on was the first in an episodic series called D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die. The game has the developers trademark brand of weirdness that he’s become so well known for, with other titles like Deadly Premonition and Lord of Arcana.

In November of 2015, Swery announced that he would be taking some time off of work in order to recover from an illness, but noted that he would be back soon. D4 was planned as a multi-episode series, but has only received one episode as of now.

Would you read a novel written by Swery? Have you played Deadly Premonition, D4 or any of Swery’s other games? What did you think of them? Let us know down in the comments.
