The festive season is right around the corner and it looks like Microsoft has managed to get its Christmas shopping done early. Famed Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has revealed on Twitter that he has received a Christmas present from Microsoft.

As you can see, Kojima has clearly been good this year as Microsoft has sent him a Minecraft Xbox One S bundle. No doubt there are plenty of other gamers hoping to get the same gift this year. It’s worth noting that Minecraft is one of the most popular console games in Japan so Microsoft clearly picked the console bundle carefully for Mr. Kojima.
Hideo Kojima is currently working on his new game, Death Stranding, which is set to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Following the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain last year, Kojima teamed up with Sony to create his new game. This could be Microsoft’s way of letting Hideo Kojima know the folks over at Microsoft are big fans of his and that, despite his current partnership with Sony, Microsoft would still be open to working with him in the future.
We’d love to see the sort of awesome things Kojima makes in Minecraft!
