The Xbox Game Pass team has revealed the next slate of games coming to the popular service for both consoles & PC. It’s definitely heavier on the indie front, but does include some really excellent titles such as Nuclear Throne and The Artful Escape.
The does also include, however, one of my personal favorite Final Fantasy games. Yes, as you can tell from the featured image, the fantastic and wonderful and not divisive at all Final Fantasy XIII will be on Game Pass for consoles and PC starting on Sept. 2, AKA tomorrow. Yes, yes, I know it’s not everyone’s favorite Final Fantasy XIII but I will die on the hill defending its honor so come at me in the comments if you want to debate (and lose).
Here’s the full list with release dates:
- Craftopia (Game Preview) (Cloud, Console, and PC) ID@Xbox – Sept. 2
- Final Fantasy XIII (Console and PC) – Sept. 2
- Signs of the Sojourner (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Sept. 2
- Surgeon Simulator 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) ID@Xbox – Sept. 2
- Crown Trick (Console and PC) ID@Xbox – Sept. 7

- The Artful Escape (Console and PC) ID@Xbox – Sept. 9
If you’re not sure what any of these games are, you can get a bit more information about each via Xbox right here. Personally, as I mentioned above, I’d start with Nuclear Throne if you’re a fan of run and gun action games if you’re looking to give something a try and aren’t brave enough for Final Fantasy XIII (or if you already played it and enjoyed it I thank you for your service).
In addition, here are the games that are on the way out. If you want to pick them up on a discount before they leave the service or want to get some last quality playtime in, the dates below are your last chances.
