There was a lot of stiff competition this year for the Best Sports/Racing Game award, as excellent titles like FIFA 17, MLB The Show 16, NBA 2K17, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 were nominated. However, it was the gorgeous and fantastic racing game Forza Horizon 3 that won tonight. Developed by PlayGround Games and  Turn 10 Studios, this title was hailed for its wonderful graphics, refined driving mechanics, and great tracks. While the other nominees were great in their own ways, Forza Horizon 3 became the pinnacle for modern racing titles with its release.

Even though titles like FIFA 17 and NBA 2K17 had a high chance of winning, Forza Horizon 3 more than deserved its win. Accepting the reward was Aaron Greenberg who was receiving the reward on behalf of both studios that worked on this title. In his speech, Greenberg thanked the fans for making Forza Horizon 3 the best racing game of this generation and the staff who worked on the title.

Forza Horizon 3 is currently available for both Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. Make sure to check back with us at Twinfinite for more news from The Game Awards.
