The Xbox One Pandora app will soon be updated to support background music, according to a Tweet from lead Xbox engineer Mike Ybarra. This will give users another way to listen to music whilst using other apps or playing games.
Pandora will update over the next 24 hours to include background music on Xbox One functionality! #Xbox

An update for the Xbox One which allowed the use of background music was released in the beginning of August. Some speculated that Spotify may come to the Xbox One but, as we reported, this doesn’t seem to be the case as Spotify is currently partnered with Sony. At least users now have Pandora which streams music with the occasional advert. You can pay a subscription fee in order to ditch the ads.
As Ybarra stated. the update is set to be released within the next 24 hours so you should be able to make good use of it very soon.
