How to Cancel Xbox Game Pass

Alongside your Xbox Live Gold membership that allows you to play games online with your friends and other players, Microsoft also recently released another subscription service. Xbox Game Pass is, essentially, a Netflix-like service for your Xbox One. There are over 100 games, both from the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One libraries that you’ll be able to download and play as long as your subscription is active. Sounds great, but some players may be wondering what they need to do to cancel Xbox Game Pass once they’re ready to part ways with the service.

In order to cancel your Xbox Game Pass, you’re going to follow the same steps that you did for your Xbox Live Gold subscription. Head to xbox.com and sign into your Xbox account. Once you’re all logged in, click on your account picture in the top-right corner of the screen and then select Subscriptions from the menu that appears.

Give the page a minute and you should then see your Game Pass subscription appear here. From here, simply select Cancel > End Now and Get a Refund > Next > Confirm Cancellation. Xbox will then send you an email to your registered address to let you know that your Xbox Game Pass has been canceled. If you’re using a free trial code or simply don’t want your Xbox Game Pass subscription to auto-renew after the current period, you can also enable or disable this option here, too.

That’s all you need to know to cancel Xbox Game Pass. For more helpful tips and tricks on the Xbox One, as well as its games and services, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
