The fan-favorite League Play will be returning to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which was announced during today’s Community Reveal Event. If you’ve been waiting for it to come back in the latest iteration, you’ve got plenty to be excited about.
The system was originally used for the first time alongside XP back in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which was determined by how many games players win or lose. If they end up losing a ton of games, they’ll unfortunately be demoted to the league below them. Winning often will get them promoted up to the next league.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 brought back the system as “Arena” in that iteration of the game, but that ranking system wasn’t nearly as detailed as the previous game. Black Ops 4 is looking to change a ton of things about the competitive meta, of course, so it’s not surprising to see these alterations coming down the line.
Today, a whole series of announcements regarding Black Ops 4 were made via official livestream, and it looks like we’re in for a whole new Call of Duty.
