The bulk of what you’ll be doing in Dragon Quest Builders boils down to gathering supplies and resources, and then using them to build up your castle. The colorful new trailer shows the title’s main character running around a blocky world and using equipment like a shovel, sword, axe, and even a cannon to blow apart blocks and collect resources. There seem to be a ton of different options for items and resources out in the world, and we also see a ton of different monsters the hero has to battle along the way. a

The next thing the trailer shows, is a bit of how crafting and building will work in the game. An oven allows the hero to convert resources into different ones, and there seems to be other items that will do something similar. Some of the castles and buildings you can construct in Builders look grand, and a minecart system allows the hero to zip around the building area. Take a look at the full trailer down below.

Dragon Quest Builders launches on October 11, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. A demo for the game is available for both systems as of today. We also found out recently that Square Enix is considering bringing Dragon Quest Builders to the Nintendo NX.
